The Mini Ribbon

The Mini Ribbon has two surfaces. One is a short ribbon control that outputs the standard gate & CV , plus a CV to which a ‘wiggle’ triggered by the round pressure pad is added.

The pressure pad outputs a conventionally expected gate and variable pressure CV. But it also triggers a stepped CV output from a sample & hold, and a wiggly CV for which the direction and frequency varies randomly. This ‘Wiggle’ (labelled below as ‘Random Bend’) is the secret sauce in this device. It’s what makes it a little more than just a small, very easily portable conventional controller.

There are also two switch channels, one controlled by the ribbon gate, and the other by the onboard variable pulse-width clock that drives the wiggle generator. There is also a gate output driven by this onboard clock.
