The Toaster
2012 December 2
The Toaster is an audio signal processor with an on-board array of control voltage generators; all of which sync to MIDI time code. The audio processors are a resonant Sallen-Key VCF in series before a VCA. The Control voltage processors are sample/hold, A triangle LFO and three variable decay envelope generators with variable time-offsets from the trigger. The MIDI time code grid can be switched between duple & triple subdivisions.
The toaster chassis was a toastmaster, given to may parents as a wedding present. It made good toast for 28 years before one of the heating elements failed. It was far too durable and beautiful to discard.
